A Multi Concept Theme

Hi, and welcome to the Willer User Guide.

Let’s begin!

1 Theme Installation

WordPress upload

• Login to your WordPress admin panel
• Navigate to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme
• Click on Choose File and select willer.zip
• Click on Install Now

FTP upload

• Extract the willer.zip file you previously located.
• Using an FTP client, login to the server where your WordPress website is hosted
• Using an FTP client, navigate to the /wp-content/themes/ directory under your WordPress website’s root directory
• Using an FTP client, upload the previously extracted willer folder to the themes directory on your remote server

Once the installation is complete, your Wiler theme will be ready for use. Now all you need to do is navigate to Appearance > Themes and activate the Willer theme. After you have done this, you should see Willer Options appear in the left navigation bar of your WordPress admin panel, under the heading Appearance.

When you first install the theme you’ll see a popup on your dashboard from the theme asking you to install a number of plugins.

Update from the Free Version

1st method

• Deactivated the Willer free theme
• Delete the theme
• Proceed with the installation indicated previously

2nd method

• Download the “update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file” plugin from the official WordPress repository https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
• Go to WordPress Dashboard
• Select Plugin
• Install now
• Select the zip file you downloaded
• Active Plugin
• Proceed with the installation indicated previously

Importing Demo Content

With the Willer theme, you have the option to either start creating your site from scratch, or choosing to import the demo, to use as a starting point, and then modifying it to suit your needs. In this section we will explain how to do the latter.

• Navigate to Tools > Import > WordPress > Install Now
• Run Importer > Upload File and import
• Choose the file Theme Files/Demo Content/willer.wordpress.xml
• Check the box : Download and import file attachments
• Import Attachments
• Submit

Note​If the import is not successful, you can install the “Theme Demo Importer” plugin, which can be downloaded from the official WordPress website https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-demo-import/

Once the plugin is installed and activated, the file is imported Theme Files/Demo Content/willer.wordpress.xml

• Navigate to Apparence > Import Demo Content
• Choose file
• Import Demo Content

2 Using Willer

Once you’ve installed Willer, you can start building your site. In this section of the User Guide we will explain how you can upload your logo, create your menu, set up your footer area and customize the general look.

UPLOADER YOUR LOGO

• Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity > Select Logo
• Choose whether to enable the site name
• Published

From here you can customize:

• Enable/Disable rotation logo
• Font size Logo (px)
• Site icon

MENU CREATION

Willer has two menu areas, one in the general site and one in the Ecommerce,in this way you can create two different menus.

• Navigate to Appearance > Menus
• Click on Create a new menu.
• Enter a name for your new menu and then click Create Menu.

To expand the menu, proceed as follows:

• Screen Options
• Check the box : CSS Classes
• Add this CSS class : willer-menu-columns
• Under the dropdown menu

Note: if you have very long titles for the menu, you have to enlarge it,​adding these classes to Additional CSS ( Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS ).​.willer-menu-columns ul.dropdown-menu li {width:250px;(enter the desired value)}.willer-menu-columns ul.dropdown-menu.show{width:550px;(enter the desired value)}​To add a post image in the menu proceed as follows:

• Screen Options
• Check the box : CSS Classes
• Add this CSS class : willer-special-dropdown-img
• under the dropdown menu

FOOTER

To set up your footer:

• Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Footer > Settings Footer
• Choose the number of columns for the footer widgets ( 1/2/3/4 )
• Title Link Footer
• Link FooterEnable/Disable Custom Logo in Footer
• Enable/Disable Copyright in Footer
• Enable/Disable Social in Footer

The function “Height Footer (px)” serves to increase or decrease the height of the Footer, based on the widgets chosen for the Footer. This topic will be covered in the widget section.

CUSTOMIZE GENERAL LOOK

Now let’s set up the general look and feel of your site.

General Settings

• Navigate to Appearance > Customize > General Settings
• Preloader : Enable/Disable Preloader
• Login: Enable/Disable Login Icon
• Back To Top: Enable/Disable Back To Top,Enable/Disable Back To Top Devices
• Sidebar in devices: Enable/Disable sidebar in mobile devices
• Menu right: Enable/Disable Menu Right, Select Menu Right page, Enable/Disable Social Icons

Section Home Willer

Note: this section works when a static page has been set in Homepage Settings, this topic will be covered in the Page section.​

• Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Section Home Willer
• Services: Select Services page, Select Category Post for Services
• Gallery: Select Category Post for Gallery 1/2/3/4/5/6
• Testimonials: Select Category Post for Testimonials Carousel
• Brand: Select Category Post for Brand Carousel
• About Me: Select About page
• Portfolio: Select Category Post for Portfolio
• Team: Select Team page, Select Category Post for Team

• Select a default Skins ( Default, Black, White, Colors)
• Or customize all colors to your liking

Header

• Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Header Image
• Select an image for the header
• Select category post for Header Static, this topic will be covered in the Page section.

General Social

• Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Social
• Settings Social
• Enable the desired Social with related links

Note: Social Generals are different from Social for Teams and V-cards!​

404 Page

• Navigate to Appearance > Customize > 404 Page > Settings 404 Page
• Select the page for 404 Page
• Select a color for Text Image 404 Page

Font

• Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Font > Font Family
• Choose Font Family for title
• Chose Font Family for subtitle

3 Pages

HOMEPAGE

Let’s start by creating a page with the name “Home” (you can choose a name as you like).

• Navigate to Pages > Add New
• Add title “Home”
• Page Attribute > Template > Home Willer
• Reload the page
• Now the meta boxes will appear to customize this page

Note: You can create pages indefinitely, and give each one a different personalization!​General color

These options are used to customize the general colors of the page

• Text color image slider parallax
• Text color image slider zoom
• Background color border general image
• Background color filter Gallery image
• Text color image Gallery
• Text color image Parallax

Sectors

This option is very important, used to establish the order of the sections that will appear on this page.

• Select a Section for the Sector 0 : the sector 0, is the sector of the header, you can choose to make it appear or not. If you choose “Header Static” you can use the function in the Customizer to load an image in the Header with the possibility to choose the category of the post to be displayed. To access this customization: navigate to Appearance > Header Image.
• Select a Section for Sector 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10 : you can put the sections to your liking.

Header

This option is used to set the categories to show the post in the “Vertical Slider” and “Zoom Slider” sections.

• Choose the categories for Vertical Slider (Multiple selection enabled)
• Choose the categories for Zoom Slider (Multiple selection enabled)

To publish

Once these personalizations have been completed, you can proceed to publish the page and set it as the site’s home page.

• Publish
• Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings > A static page > Homepage > Select the page you just created.

ABOUT ME PAGE

Let’s create a new page with the name “About Me” (you can choose a name as you like).

• Navigate to Pages > Add New
• Add title “About Me”
• Page Attribute > Template > About ME
• Reload the page
• Now the meta boxes will appear to customize this page

Note: You can create pages indefinitely, and give each one a different personalization!

• Enable Breadcrumb (Enable or disable the breadcrumbs on this page)
• Enable Social(Enable social icons on this page, based on the icons enabled in Customize -paragraph 2-)

V-Card

General

• Enable V-card
• Choose the category for V-card(Multiple selection enabled) : this option is used to select the category of the post that will insert the link inside the V-Card button on this page (in the button the link that will lead to the chosen article and the name of the article will appear)

Brands

General

• Enable Brands

Categories

• Choose the categories to show the Posts in the Carousel Brands(Multiple selection enabled)

ABOUT US PAGE

Let’s create a new page with the name “About US” (you can choose a name as you like).

• Navigate to Pages > Add New
• Add title “About US”
• Page Attribute > Template > About US
• In this “About US” template you can load the second image. (Only in this model is enabled!)
• Reload the page
• Now the meta boxes will appear to customize this page

5 Widgets

Willer has 10 Widgets areas.

Customize the Widgets:

Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Widgets

Based on the page you are on, the personalize will show the adjacent Widgets areas.

Here are the 10 Areas Widgets.

Sidebar

This area is on the Blog pages and some articles with the sidebar.

WIDGET FORM MENU RIGHT Menu

This area is in the Menu right

FOOTER 1/2/3/4

These four areas are found in the Footer.

In Customize> Footer > Settings Footer, you can enable them one at a time, for example you can enter only 2 Widget areas, or 3, depending on your specific needs.

HEADER CONTACT AND CONTENT CONTACT

These two areas are in the contact page template, they can be used to insert maps and contact forms.

WIDGET FORM POST V-CARD

This widget area is located in the post V-card template

SIDEBAR WOOCOMMERCE

This area can be found in the E-commerce section, obviously it can only be used if the WooCommerce plugin has been activated (We’ll talk about it in the next paragraph)

6 Ecommerce

Willer comes with WooCommerce integration, which allows you to easily create an online shop. For more information on installing and configuring WooCommerce, please visit this page: https://docs.woocommerce.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/getting-started/.

To start you need to create a new page of the Shop, with a title at will, for example “Shop”.

Once the page is published, let’s go to:

WooCommerce > Settings > Product

In Shop Page we select the page just created and save.

To create a new product, let’s go to:

Products > Add New.

Now we create the cart page:

We create a new page with the name “Cart” and insert this Shortcode:

Now we create the Checkout page:

We create a new page with the name “Checkout” and insert this Shortcode:

Now we create the My Account page:

We create a new page with the name “My Account” and insert this Shortcode:

Now let’s go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced

We select:

Cart page : Cart

Checkout page: Checkout

My account page: My Account

and we save.
